What do I need to install ValleySpeak Project Server?
You need a compatible hardware, an IP address and the
ValleySpeak Project Server installer CD in order to install
ValleySpeak Project Server.
Do I need to have any technical knowledge to install
ValleySpeak Project Server?
No technical knowledge whatsoever is required to install
ValleySpeak Project Server. The one step ValleySpeak Project Server
installer makes it super simple for anyone to install the server.
All that is needed are valid IP address settings. There is no
configuration needed to install ValleySpeak Project Server.
How do I choose an IP for ValleySpeak Project Server?
This question is best answered by your systems/network
Administrator. The choice of IP depends on various factors that
are applicable to your network configuration and your specific needs.
It is worth noting that there is a very simple web interface for
changing the server IP address anytime.
How can I make the ValleySpeak Project Server accessible to
users from the Internet?
Since there are numerous possible network configurations and
firewall settings that can affect the answer to this question, it is
not possible for ValleySpeak to predict what might be the best way to
make ValleySpeak Project Server accessible from the Internet. In some
cases your systems/network Administrator will be able to map an internal
IP to an externally visible IP and you will be able to make ValleySpeak
Project Server accessible to users from the Internet.
A Project Manager who owned the project has left the
company and there is a new Project Manager who needs to be the owner.
What do I do?
Your ValleySpeak project server Administrator can change the
ownership of any project. Please contact your ValleySpeak Project
Server Administrator to make the requisite changes.
What if I accidently closed my web browser or logged out of
ValleySpeak Project Server while I was editing a project in
Microsoft Project?
Your project connection remains established even if you accidently
log out or close the web browser. Changes that you make in
Microsoft Project will not get lost even after logout.
How do I import a project from Microsoft Project?
Only Project Managers and the Administrator can import a project from Microsoft
Project. Before importing a project, ensure that your environment

How do I upgrade/downgrade ValleySpeak Project Server?
Only the Administrator can do the migration of ValleySpeak Project Server.
Before migrating to other versions, ensure that the licence is valid and
the network settings are proper. To learn more about the upgrading/downgrading

Why do some tasks not show up in the task dropdown of timesheet application?
The task dropdown shows only the tasks that are assigned to you.
The task will not show up in the dropdown if its percentage completion is 100%
or the status of the project to which it belongs, is not Active.
What should I do to recieve email alerts?
There are three settings which need to be verified for receiving email alerts.
Firstly, verify if the email alert checkboxes of all the applications for
which you would like to recieve email alerts and the Global Settings actions
of the Preferences tab have been checked. Secondly, ask your System Administrator
to check whether the email settings are properly set. Lastly, ensure that a valid
email id for a user and a valid domain name has been set by your System Administrator.
